March 21-29’08 Mahal na Araw / Summer Break

21Mar - flight to pinas around 12.40am, arrived in Batangas by 7am. It’s Good Friday but basically dozed on-off for the whole morning till late afternoon…it’s so hot…Went to Wena’s place in the evening for the annual procession. I feel that it’s not what it used to be when I was younger and spending holy week in the province. I remember my ‘mamay’ (lolo) asking us to be still and not to make too much noise during the whole holy week. No TV, no music, no going out, no noise…instead it’s all prayers, pasyon among the olds and that’s it. Today is my first holy week after being out of the country for about 10yrs and it’s not the same anymore. There’s less meaning?? You can only feel that it’s holy week in the church itself. No more pabasa ng pasyon, the kids are watching tv, playing computer games. Even the adults are not the same anymore…I don’t know maybe it’s only me…anyway here are some of the photos taken during procession…

22Mar – even though it’s still black Saturday and due to time constraint and the availability of the school kids (dami dahilan to justify the guilt of going out on a black Saturday) we all went to Enchanted Kingdom for the kids. Nag enjoy naman sila specially Vince since it’s his first trip duon. Gusto lahat sakyan ang rides pero di naman puede kasi he’s only 3. Super likot naman po sila ni Allison, grabe ang humabol. Ang nakakatawa, nung medyo gabi na e panay ang reklamo ni Vince…”pagod na ko”, sabi ko e lumakad sya kasi di ko sya kaya buhatin sa bigat nya hehehe…Tanong pa ke tanong ng “bakit”, lahat ng sagot mo me kasunod na “e bakit??”…sus…
All in all, enjoy na enjoy sila lahat….

23Mar – Linggo ng Pagkabuhay, rest day sa bahay coz it’s really so hot…Ninison suppose to be an Angel in the evening procession kaso umayaw…sabihan ba naman na ililipad sya ng pakpak, ayun natakot….again hindi na parehas nung araw ang procession, konti na lang ang sumasama sa linya…hay iba na talaga ang panahon…

24Mar – Hay....I stayed at home and clean-up the house junk, sa dami naman mga abubot na tinatago pa…sus…the rest of them people went to SM while I spring clean…
Me dumaan na caravan, meron pa pala nun…so took the opportunity for photo ops… also bumili na rin kami ng duyan para sa terrace...

25Mar – we went to lipa with the kids…discussion on where to go for swimming, we went to visit one of the resorts in Lipa, La Virginia, a new one and it’s a nice place / location. It’s actually overlooking Taal Lake, a bit expensive but worth it….a bit far from Sambat and we are thinking of the kids so can’t go there for the swim, maybe next time pag malaki na si Ian….
Ito Si Ian sa sm, layas na rin.....

26Mar – linis house again, this time sa itaas naman ng bahay. I have to collate all the old photos, bought big storage boxes and put them there…imagine I used 3 storage boxes for all the photos (most of which are mine hehehe)
Eto kids ulet....

27Mar - Swimming time, dun lang sa Banaba, about 15min from home…okay naman yung lugar, nagpaluto lang kami ng food….let these pics tell how the kids enjoy themselves….

28Mar – linis house na naman??, sabi nga ni Eric, umuwi ka lang ba para mag linis ng bahay hehehe….total spring cleaning of all the kalats specially yung mga nasa cabinets, sus….

29Mar – flight back to Singapore, bilis ng summer break….

Isa lang masasabi ko,super init po sa Pinas ngayon….
